Role Id: Oracle Applications Financials - Technical Live service and Pre-Production Support and Development role

Location: Newcastle

Candidates will be required to undergo BPSS Clearance

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITES

Maintain, manage and develop our Customer relationships and relationships with other third party Suppliers and Vendors.

Development of Oracle E-business Suite CEMLIs/APIs and associated AIM/OUM documentation.

Incident and problem management work within SLAs and OLAs. Develop and testing technical solutions. Minor enhancement & change work. Daily contact with users.

Progression and testing of Oracle data fixes and patches.

Support any work done under Service Improvement Plan (SIP), or Continuous Improvement Plan (CIP) work.

Migration of technical changes into Production and pre-Production environments.

Attend meetings and conference calls as appropriate. Possibly presenting and representing HP's interests accordingly.

If appropriate to you, support and delivery of the contractual Disaster Recovery failover and failback exercise or test within SLA.

QA and support of cloned and refreshed environments.

Support to and working with the Customers Support, Change & release,Development, Config, Security, User mainetnance, Environment teams and Superusers.

Support significant and major incidents where required.

Support of environment issues.

Support of Oracle Applications implementations, upgrades and releases as appropriate.

Running ad hoc scripts.

Perform Business as Usual (BAU) changes on approval and request.

Secure data management & movement activities and compliance.

Maintain and upload deliverables into configuration management tool on a daily basis.

Use of My Oracle Support (Metalink) in raising Service Requests.

Reporting both internally to the Incident and Problem Manager, Oracle Applications Support Leaders and Application Delivery Manager, and externally to our Customers and users as appropriate. Escalation in the event of concerns or issues.

On occasion to be Embedded within Projects.

Willingness and ability to coach and mentor colleagues.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

PRIMARY SKILLS:

Proven technical experience of Oracle Applications Financials modules including Accounts Payables (AP), Accounts Receivables (AR), General Ledger (GL) and Purchasing (PO).

Experience working on technical aspects of the Payables E-business Suite module, familiar with common approaches and best practice in E-business Suite integrations and extensions.

OTHER ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

Proven experience of Oracle Workflow.

Experience of Oracle Applications Framework (OAF).

Proven experience of working in large scale eBusiness Suite implementations and developing for performance.

Proven experience of management, investigation and support of eBusiness Suite and associated technologies in a Production and pre-Production environment. Incident and Problem investigations.

Proven experience of Oracle eBusiness Suite unit and regression testing.

Familiar with My Oracle Support (Metalink) and raising & updating Oracle Service Requests.

Proven experience of Oracle eBusiness Suite R11i and R12.

Proven experience in Customer driven Support teams.

Proven experience of Core/Professional Financials forms and self-service, and reporting functionality.

Able to perform incident and problem investigations alone and as part of a team across the whole Oracle eBusiness Suite technology stack for the Service.

Proven experience of writing Oracle AIM/Oracle Unified Methodology (OUM) documents - MD050, MD070, TE020, and MD0120. Understanding BR100s

Proven use of the following Oracle Development tools - Oracle Workflow Builder including loading definitions, Oracle Reports/XML Publisher (preferred), PL/SQL (preferred), good to strong SQL & UNIX (min intermediate level or advanced preferred).

Experience of minor enhancement & change work and processes.

DESIRABLE SKILLS:

Experience with the following technologies would be beneficial: Oracle Advanced Queues, E-business Suite Concurrent Processing, UNIX operating system, large scale/high volume E-business Suite implementations, Oracle Forms and Reports 6i, Oracle BI Publisher

Experience of Oracle eBusiness Suite tuning and optimisation.

A good understanding and experience of supporting the month and year end processes.

Experience of continuous or service improvement work.

Oracle eBusiness Suite or ITIL Certification, although not essential.
