TASKS:

Install and maintain all databases required for integration and production use

Capacity planning - with system administration staff

Install new versions of the Oracle and tools

Plan and implements backup and recovery of the Oracle database

Controlling program migrations, database changes, reference data changes and menu changes through the development life cycle

Implement and enforce security

Performs database re-organisations to assist performance and ensure maximum availability

Implement standards to ensure application design and code is produced with proper integrity, security and performance. Perform regular reviews to ensure compliance

Evaluate releases of Oracle, tools, and third party products to ensure the site is utilising the most appropriate ones

Enforce and maintain database constraints to ensure integrity of the database.

Administer all database objects, including tables, clusters, indexes, views, sequences, packages and procedures

Assists with impact analysis of any changes made to the database objects

Troubleshoot database issues

Manage sharing of resources amongst applications
