Oracle Exdata Solution Architect

Looking for an experienced Solutions Architect to lead/work with the design team to provide Oracle Exadata environments designs for the future.

The Solutions Architect/Designer will have high level skills in environment design, systems and hardware upgrades.

The successful candidate will need to have the below:

- Understanding of EA frameworks and Recognised industry qualifications
- ICT engineering experience in some or all of the following areas with the related Vendors' technology stacks:
- Operating Systems: Windows 2003 - 2012 inc. Hyper-V, Red Hat, Solaris,.NIX, Citrix (inc. XENAPP, XENDesktop, NetScaler), VMWare
- Exadata
- Database: Oracle, SQL, MySQL, SAS, Jade
- Network: Cisco, Juniper, F5, Riverbed, Senetas, Thales, Brocade, Bluecoat, Fort iGATE
- Storage: NetApp, EMC, CommVault, Quantum
- Hardware Vendor: Dell, IBM, SUN, HP, Apple, WISE

It is desirable to have experience with:

- Conducting technical research on network, storage, hardware, software, various environments and processes of the current environment;
- Network, storage, software and compute of the currently environment solutions for short medium and long range systems;
- Technical designs of the environments
- Determine plan layout for new hardware or modifications to existing layout
- Planning and coordinating of tasks relating to the implementation, installation and testing of network hardware, software, compute, storage and data networks.
- Working with other technical staff to ensure connectivity and compatibility between systems.
