Role Purpose:
Provide support for the global Production and Non-Production Oracle Exadata environments.
Support to include fault resolution and change implementation.
Provide Oracle Exadata and RDBMS technical support, advice and guidance to customers.
Make recommendations with regard to aspects of Oracle Exadata systems infrastructure (eg performance, security, networking, usability).
Research, analyse and present suitable solutions to meet business and technical needs.
Ongoing evaluation and analysis of the database estate to provide optimum performance.

Key Role Deliverables:
Work effectively as part of a global support team to deliver a stable environment.
Provide out of hours cover as part of an on-call rota.
Provide solutions to problems.
Ongoing evaluation and analysis of the database estate to provide constant process and technical improvement.
Plan and perform production change implementations.
Provide technical guidance to less experienced team members.
Continuously evaluate productivity and identify initiatives for service improvement.
Effective root cause analysis and fault resolution.

Technical knowledge
Proven track record on Oracle Exadata & features
Proven track record on Oracle RDBMS 11gR2 & features
Oracle Tools eg Sqlplus, RMAN, DGMGRL.
Use of OEM 12c Cloud Control for monitoring and maintenance.
Networking (TCP/IP, DNS, LDAP, Onames) experience.
