Oracle Engineer - Bucharest

A Oracle Engineer is needed for our client, a prestigious international Telecommunications company, on contract basis in Bucharest, Romania. Work eligibility is required for the application. 

Summary
The Oracle Engineer is able to perform standard administrational tasks in all IT infrastructure environments related to the Database department, have good knowledge of the implemented hard and software components, able to work in cross-cultural teams

Responsibilities - Technical

- Interface with Vendors and external partners, all the others teams within Operations
- Assure aligned processes, standards and harmonized vendor communication
- The role is expected to understand real business needs to maintain the Oracle environments which support key business applications
- Perform troubleshooting
- Apply security patches and bug fixes, install new releases and patches
- Solve incoming incidents
- Analyze of problems and support in defining solutions
- Assure correctness of the configuration database

Requirements
- Good knowledge in administration of Oracle databases in a production environment
- Good knowledge of further Oracle database options like ie RAC, Data Guard, GRID Control
- Good SQL knowledge and expertise in script languages on OS level and PL/SQL
- ITIL knowledge, Understanding of IT-Service Management (example SO20000)
- Basic understanding of SOX regulations
- Basic understanding of security regulations
- The candidate must have a good knowledge of all Oracle databases ptions, good understanding of Oracle Database technologies
- Fluency in English, Romanian
