Oracle Development Lead - Investment Banking - London - £500 per day

ORACLE DEVELOPMENT LEAD - INVESTMENT BANKING - LONDON - £500 PER DAY

A Lead Oracle Developer is required to work on the delivery of a reporting platform in the Treasury IT Team for a leading European Investment Bank. The role is based in London and offers a daily rate of £500.

You will have the opportunity to provide Oracle technical leadership to a team of both on and off-shore Oracle Developers. You will be the conduit between Architects, Business Analysts and the Development team, delivering the Oracle Reporting Solution across Treasury IT.

You will be responsible for managing the direction and activities of the Oracle Development Team, driving and improving technical design discipline, reviewing technical solutions (including code reviews) and carry out some hands on task to enhance the platform.

REQUIREMENTS

- Previous experience of Oracle Development (with a good knowledge of Oracle 11g) within an Investment Banking organisation. Preferably with a broad mix of Server Side, UI and database technologies.
- A background in leading both on and offshore development teams.
- Previous experience working with multi terabyte data warehouses/data marts, ideally Oracle.
- Extremely strong SQL/PL/SQL skills is essential.
- Any knowledge of Business Intelligence tools including Cognos, Qlikview or Business Objects would be beneficial.
