Oracle Developer - Specialist

Your role will be to develop advanced Oracle application design and development services on top of the Oracle and Sun Solaris technology stacks. You will provide high level specialist services and support to a complex application suite. You will also contribute to the highest compliance, quality and policy standards.

Specifically, you will be responsible for:

Designing and developing high quality enterprise software application products, components and services including Oracle forms, reports and database packages that align to business requirements:

- Ensuring that all documentation is completed to the highest standards and contributing to the project/development methodologies.
- Identifying and delivering services that improve the functionality and efficiency of the solution(s)
- Developing Oracle software solutions on the Unix platform, utilising the Oracle Developer Suite of products;
- Assisting in the design, development and enhancements of the existing applications suite;
- Liaising with all stakeholder groups to deliver outstanding, beneficial solutions

As the successful candidate, you will demonstrate:

- Extensive knowledge of and broad ranging experience in large scale software development in the context of the software development and service management life cycles of enterprise-level applications.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively perform the requirements of the role within a large, complex health environment
- Proven knowledge and practical experience in undertaking complex systems analysis of existing PHU applications (Oracle forms, reports, PLSQL; Unix).
- Proven ability to rapidly embrace and employ alternative software development technologies eg Java, JSP/JSF and Oracle's ADF framework or C#, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, XML, HTML and Server Side/client-side Scripting for web development.
- Proven knowledge and practical experience in design, development, testing, deployment and support of applications on top of the Oracle 10g Sun Solaris10 technology stacks
- Proven knowledge and practical experience in relational databases preferably Oracle 10g.

Proven knowledge and practical experience in at a senior level of Oracle applications development utilising:

- Oracle Developer Suite 10g (PLSQL inclusive)
- Sun Solaris 10.
- Excellent communication skills, including good technical writing skills, negotiation and problem analysis skills.
- The ability to commence work within two-weeks of offer
