Oracle Developer

DEVELOPER

The main purpose of this role will be to assist and guide other team members where necessary as you design, create and improve new and existing products, platforms and transactions across the organisation

You will need to have strong skills in Front End or Back End web development and be ready to quickly get to work within a multi-disciplinary team of developers, designers, editors, and analysts focussed on one or more products or projects.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

- Strong SQL, including Scripting Strong PL/SQL, including built-in Oracle oRDBMS package use
- Strong development experience with Oracle Database 11g+ to include all object type creation and manipulation (Table, Index, View, Function/Procedure, Package, Trigger, Job, Object, Collection, Table Function, Sequence, Directory, User, Schema etc)
- Strong Development experience in Oracle Forms and Reports 10g+ including WEBUTIL use for client-side integration and JSP web reports.
- Experience in installation, configuration, administration and migration of an Oracle Application Server and/or Oracle Fusion Middleware (WLS and Forms and Reports 11 - OID/SSO and Oracle Access Manager experience a benefit).
- Confident communicator, adept at explaining technical issues to non-technical colleagues including senior stakeholders and advocating for more effective approaches.
- Experience developing Pluggable Java Components and JavaBeans for Oracle Forms.
- Experience developing VBA templates and VB Projects (Active X Add-ins)
- Experience developing C/C++ libraries and integration with Oracle Forms
- Experience developing in web Front End technologies including HTML 4/5, CSS 2/3, JavaScript (incl. JQuery libraries) Shell Scripting in Windows and/or a UNIX environment an advantage
