Oracle DBA (with AIX, RAC and Dataguard) Job

ORACLE DBA (WITH AIX, RAC AND DATAGUARD) needed for a LONG TERM CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY with Yoh's client located in NORRISTOWN, PENNSYLVANIA.

TOP SKILLS SHOULD YOU POSSESS:

- Oracle 10 & 11 experience on AIX V5/V6
- ORACLE USING JFS2 AND ASM ON AIX
- Hands on, implemented, support several 2+ node clusters FOR ORACLE RAC EXPERIENCE
- LARGE ENTERPRISE EXPERIENCE (>500 AIX hosts, >250 Oracle Instances)
- ORACLE DATA GUARD EXPERIENCE

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Oracle DBA (with AIX, RAC and DATAGUARD) will provide daily Oracle database maintenance and SUPPORT TASKS IN AN ENTERPRISE ENVIRONMENT including account management, PL/SQL code releases, break/fix issues and monitoring for performance and system generated errors.
- Address system generated errors, user reported errors or user requests for system information leveraging customer's FootPrints ticketing system
- Monitor databases, identifying problems and providing quick, efficient remediation
- Support Emergency Service Restoration (ESR) and SWAT efforts
- UTILIZE ORACLE ENTERPRISE MANAGER (OEM) and other tools to manage various database alerts
- Respond to alerts from all Oracle databases, development through production
- Support application code releases using approved change management procedures throughout the entire application life cycle
- Oracle DBA (with AIX, RAC and DATAGUARD) will work with the application development and support teams to identify and address performance problems
- Support operating system and Oracle PSU patches, document patching procedures
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with Oracle backups
- Ensure databases are in compliance with company standards, as well as all relevant configurations determined by DBA team
- Perform account management, create accounts, drop accounts, reset passwords, unlock accounts, create roles, etc.
- Work with Oracle Support to ensure successful resolution of Service Requests
- TROUBLESHOOT ISSUES WITH OF RAC (WITH ASM)
- WORK ON MULTIPLE PLATFORMS, INCLUDING AIX, LINUX, AND WINDOWS

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Oracle 10 & 11 experience on AIX V5/V6
- ORACLE USING JFS2 AND ASM ON AIX
- ORACLE RAC EXPERIENCE (hands on, implemented, support several 2+ node clusters, not book knowledge or did it 1-2 times or managing 1-2 clusters)
- LARGE ENTERPRISE EXPERIENCE (>500 AIX hosts, >250 Oracle Instances)
- ORACLE DATA GUARD EXPERIENCE (using it, hands on, not 1-2 times or book knowledge)
- Experienced in profiling queries and tuning
- Experienced in running/reading AWR reports and using Oracle tools for managing, supporting, tuning and troubleshooting problems.

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience with Oracle on Netapp and IBM storage block storage is a plus.
