Oracle DBA Needed - 12 Month Contract

I am currently hiring on behalf of a large global consultancy who need an experienced Oracle DBA for a large Oracle E-Business Suite project, the project is expected to run for an initial 4 years.

a) As an Oracle E-Business Suite DBA, the Consultant must perform duties such as installing, upgrading, and supporting Oracle e-Business Suite software and the associated Oracle Technology stack in a multi-tier environment. This environment may be comprised of database servers, applications servers, web servers, concurrent processing servers, reports servers, forms servers, admin servers, and discoverer server environment.

Requested skills, competencies and tool set knowledge:

b) Practical experience with the management of Oracle e-Business Suite R12 and Oracle Database 11g R2 product versions in Linux and/or Solaris environments;
c) Experience with Oracle e-Business Suite and Database backup/recovery, monitoring, patching, upgrades, performance tuning and administration;
d) Expertise in Oracle E-Business Suite R12 technical architecture;
e) Broad knowledge of Oracle Application Server (iAS 10g) and proven ability in dealings with Forms/Reporting/Apache Web servers and configuring, troubleshooting and tuning;
f) Experience in multi-node implementation, applying patches, cloning, troubleshooting concurrent managers, and trouble-shooting forms/reports issues;
g) Practical experience with advanced topology elements like shared APPL_TOP, Oracle Clusterware, Rapid Application Cluster (RAC) and Automatic Storage Management (ASM);
h) Practical experience in monitoring and tuning a database to provide a high availability service;
i) Knowledge of the underlying Oracle e-Business Suite database architecture, with particular reference to schemas/products, database objects, file system structure, tables, views, packages, procedures, functions, triggers, sequences, indexes and constraints;
j) Experience in Oracle Database Administration including configuration, sizing and space management, PL/SQL tuning, diagnostics;
k) Sound knowledge of Oracle's Enterprise Manager 10g or higher - practical experience with the Applications Management Pack and Applications Change Management Pack is an asset;
l) Practical experience with RMAN and Secure Backup;
m) Good documentation & automation (UNIX scripting) skills (e.g. for SOPs etc...)
