Oracle DBA experienced in Exadata (Oracle, Database, Administrater, Exadata, Windows, Unix, SQL)
My prestigious client is currently recruiting for an Oracle DBA experienced in Exadata
The contract will be for 12 months based in Alberta with an ASAP start.
You must be a Canadian National or hold a Visa that makes you eligible to work in Canada.
You will report to the Team Lead and be responsible for managing the day to day Oracle administrative tasks.
The successful candidate must be able to analyse, troubleshoot, develop solutions and then report on and implement changes working with and on a team of IT professionals
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create packages, indexes, views, procedures and triggers
- Install, maintain and upgrade databases
- Troubleshoot performance issues, optimize SQL statements and automate jobs
- Support, monitor and maintain Oracle WebLogic Application Container and Portal
- Manage the Oracle Grid Control, Active Workload Repository and tuning and diagnostics
- Responsible for backups using RMAN catalogue, Tivoli Storage Manager and Data Protection
- Script writing experience with Shell, and preferred exposure to PERL scripts
EXPERIENCE
- University degree in the field of computer science and 7 years work experience or 10+ years of direct related work experience with on the job technical training
- Skilled in data cleansing and manipulation of data in multiple formats.
- Generation of reports using Cognos Report Studio, Crystal Reports and BIRT
- Experience with Oracle Data Integrator preferred
- Team player willing to share experiences and mentor others
- Ability to multi task and successfully work towards multiple deadlines
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work structures
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Successful candidate will be eager to adapt to new technologies and take on new challenges
