Oracle DBA (Cognos) Contract

My Client is actively looking for a Strong Oracle DBA with experience working with Cognos, for a long term contract based in Ireland.

A very strong knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL is essential to this area as the key business system contains most of its core business logic within PL/SQL procedures, functions and triggers. It is often the case that troubleshooting any problems within the application tends to draw upon PL/SQL programming knowledge. Cognos reporting plays a substantial part in the system support area.

Looking for candidates with good experience working within a secure environment with strong practical experience of the below:

- Database Installs - Install Oracle Server application, configure database and listener for client use
- Server Management - Monitor performance and stability of Servers in relation to the operation of Oracle Server
- Application Management - Troubleshoot/resolve problems reported, liaise with third-party suppliers (if required) in order to resolve
- Data Replication Management - Create & Monitor replication activities between live and reporting instances of Oracle databases
- Cognos - web server install, configuration, administration under IIS and Apache
- Cognos - database server install in an Oracle environment
- Cognos - development and support of ad-hoc reports and statistical information
