Oracle DBA - 1st and 2nd Level Support - English Speaking

For a global bank based here in Zurich we are looking for an Oracle DBA to join the team.

Please note this is an 80% contract and you will be required to work Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

THE JOB:

- An exciting and challenging role as IT Oracle Database Administrator
- Responsibility for Consulting activities, design of solutions and implementation of DB infrastructure solutions
- You will work on 1st and 2nd Level support for DB Operations
- Support Releases and deliverables of Projects
- Development of DBA solutions and project advice
- Responsibility for Project DBA requests as part of a DB team

WE ARE SEARCHING FOR CANDIDATES WITH:

- Professional experience (min. 5 years) in Oracle Database Administration on Linux platforms
- Skills in DB Optimization and Tuning
- Strong Background in Oracle 11g, 12c would be an advantage
- Strong experience in supporting Oracle RAC and Dataguard setup
- Operational Know How in working mainly with Oracle Releases 11g and utilities such as RMAN and Grid Control
- Min. 3 years' experience in production support
- Ability to build and maintain customer relationship
- A background in the financial industry is a strong plus
- Very good communication skills
- Fluent written and spoken English, German is only an additional asset
- Graduate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related subject; alternatively relevant work experience in the database area
