Oracle DBA - 11G R2, RAC, Data Guard, UNIX, SQL, PL/SQL, Shell ScriptingOur client are a global financial services organisation and well known within the payments industry. We are currently looking for an Oracle DBA with 11G R2, RAC, Data Guard, UNIX, SQL, PL/SQL, Shell Scripting.This role will be principally focused on development of new Oracle Database based solutions. Creation and implementation of physical database designs on Oracle 11g R2.Develop PL/SQL code for High performance Data TransferExperience:*Proven experience in the design of a database ecosystem including infrastructure and operating principles.*Proven experience in the support of Oracle databases in a live environment. *Experience of complex internet applications and/or the financial industry. *High Volume Batch Data Processing using PL/SQL*Bulk Loading Techniques*Demonstrable track record in delivering work to schedule and specification.*Experience of database design in large, complex database systems.*VLDB experience.*Control M Integration*Good knowledge of database security and auditing, along with exposure to PCI-DSS.Technical Knowledge: Mandatory: *Oracle Database 11g R2, RAC & Grid Infrastructure and Data Guard*Database performance tuning skills (both queries and server configuration)*UNIX (preferably Linux) skills*Strong SQL skills*PL/SQL development and query optimization skills*UNIX shell scripting Desirable:*Oracle Exadata *Oracle VPD*Oracle database performance tuning and configuration*Knowledge of OBIEE and ODI*Knowledge of installation and configuration of Oracle Security products to interact with the Oracle 11g Suite*Experience with a version control system (SVN or CVS)*A background in development (Java and Agile development methods a bonus)
