Oracle DBA

For our client in Amsterdam we are currently looking for an Oracle DBA to start as soon as possible.
The Application Administrator Databases is primary responsible for supporting the Oracle and MS SQL database. Besides the support of the databases, the DBA will support other business applications, either as primary IT Support Engineer or as backup.

Main responsibilities:
- Provide support for the database systems running Oracle and MS SQL and interface with other systems.
- Provide support and maintain the Microstrategy Reporting system.
- Maintain and monitor the data import staging, integrity and procedures of the Data Warehouse.
- Log all incidents/problems and changes.
- Make sure systems are kept up to date and manage upgrades.
- Manage and test security and configuration of the systems.
- Documentation of system configuration and all changes.
- Work according to standard methods and policies for testing, configuration, security and system dependencies.
- Optimize the applications running on these Databases Systems.
- Additional responsibilities may be added to this position, directed by management's discrection.

Knowledge, skills & Experience:
- Good communication and writing skills (Dutch and English)
- An energetic and persistent attitude and great eagerness for work.
- A precise and problem-solving attitude.
- A "MBO" level or comparable working experience.
- Basic knowledge of IT-architecture (Routers, Switches, security)
- Good knowledge of Microsoft products (Office, Visio, etc.)
- Basic knowledge of Linux and Shell Scripting
- Oracle certified and experienced with RAC
- Good knowledge of Microsoft SQL server, latest version
- Excellent understanding of PL/SQL and T-SQL
- Good understanding of Microstrategy Business intelligence solutions
