Proteus Europe is searching for a contractor/freelancer Oracle DBA speaking fluent Dutch to work for a long term positon for one of our clients in Belgium
Our Client:-
Are a globally respected consultancy company who operate at the highest levels of service and successful delivery. Your New role:-
- System SQL Server platforms: you manage about twenty SQL Server installations across three domains, the versions vary from SQL Server 2008 to 2016.
- One of the current projects is the migration of databases and applications from the older to the new installations.
- Communication with the system administrators and SAN engineers and developers on the other hand is very important.
- To support three development teams: two development teams and a BI team have a lot of freedom in VMSW, these teams resolve most problems themselves op.Maar occasionally team members will need your help for specific issues such as index tuning or configuration the security ...
- For a number of things we perform as an intermediary between these teams and system administrators.
Your Skills and experience:-
Essential Skills:-
- You have strong communication skills and a good team player. You are fluent in Dutch.
- Ability to plan, organize and work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
- You show initiative, perseverance, patience and flexibility and you work purposefully with a keen eye for detail.
- You can multitask and work with a variety of people.
- You have a thorough knowledge of SQL Server, it is expected that you install new machines and you supports a variety of SQL Server versions.
- You have strong SQL Server tuning.
- You have a good knowledge of SQL Server security (Kerberos).
- You have a basic understanding of SQL Server Analysis Services multidimensional and a basic understanding of SQL Server Reporting Services, you will indeed support the BI team.
Desirable Skills:-
The client uses VMWare, SCOM and DPM; basic knowledge of these tools is a plus
