Oracle DBA

The Client:

Our client, a Global Consultancy, currently requires a Oracle DBA for a 6 month rolling contract in Helsinki.

Role:

- Data flow and database modelling.
- Database design.
- Development of current Oracle database models and databases to respond to business needs
- Developing solution to track and maintain data quality control practices
- Improving data quality in Oracle databases
- Develop and maintain integrations between Oracle databases and Teradata data warehouse.
- Develop and maintain integrations between Oracle databases and Hadoop system.
- Support other developers to achieve business needs
- Participate systems issues analyzes and problem solving
- Participate deploying new software features to production environment.
- Act as backup for DBA.

Candidate:

Overall experience of 10+ years in IT databases with over 7 years experience in database management and operation
Over 3 years experience data design, Datamodelling, database design and database development
Over 5 years experience of Oracle DBA role
Few years experience of MsSQL as DBA
Expert in SQL and DBMS actions, like complex queries, DB constraints, stored procedures, schema management, indexes and Oracle optimization
Must have very good competence on PL/SQL in unix and windows environment
Must have competence to do database management actions by Scripting.
Must have competence of unix and windows operating systems like scheduler etc.
Good knowledge of software engineering practices
Good knowledge of source control systems like Git or Subversion.
Be responsible for delivering the deliverables with quality and on-time.
Basic knowledge of Teradata data warehouse.
Basic knowledge of MsSQL database system.
Familiar with Hadoop database system
Knowledge of .NET Framework
Experience in Agile scrum

Rate:

Eu55/hr (7.5 hours per day)
