Oracle DBA

I am currently looking for a Oracle DBA to work on an initial 6 month financial project based in York.
The ideal candidate will administer the day to day maintenance of the company's Oracle databases, be proactive in forecasting capacity and performance issues, and responsible for the releasing of software into the production environment in a controlled manner.

Key Responsibilities
Day to day monitoring of the production databases for capacity, performance and integrity.
Monitoring of all performance and database parameters associated with secure and high performance environment.
Ensure data integrity at al times, including status of BDR and backups.
To respond to 2nd line requests from the Technical Support teams.
To respond to consultancy requests from all other departments and senior management.
To carry out project based work as required by line manager.
Controlled releasing of development software in the production environment with particular emphasis on impact analysis and rollback status.
Comply with the information security policy and procedures.
Comply with all regulatory procedures applicable to the role.
Report any information security incident, weakness or malfunction.
Skills
Minimum 4/5 years Oracle experience
Experience in a similar technical environment.
Demonstrable ability to manage complex technical systems.
Understanding of VMS and Alpha based systems as it relates the DBA role.
Ability to assist in the business decision-making process insofar as the DBA input is required.
