Whitehall Resources have an excellent long term opportunity for an Oracle DBA to work for a major client in Rotterdam. The assignment for a minimum of 24 months.

TASKS/ACTIVITIES/EXPERIENCE

Monitor, analyze and monitor the correct operation of databases and applications, both with respect to the functionality and technical operation;
Analyze, evaluate and implement changes (data) components as part of change request;
Implement data conversion to migrations and releases;
Manage authorizations and authorization schemes on behalf of the users of information systems.
Additional:
To support the handling of incidents in the database infrastructure;
To support the implementation of change requests;
Supporting the establishment of management tools;
The controlled rolling out patches and antivirus updates
Certification as an Oracle DBA (10) or at least 4 years of practical and proven experience with Oracle10g database management systems including Oracle Spatial, Oracle10g Recovery Manager (RMAN), PLSQL and SQL Tuning
Extensive practical knowledge and experience (certification is a plus):
Experience with Oracle migration, upgrade paths;
Knowledge of Linux and Windows;
Experience with data analysis, Datamodelling and management of information systems;
Knowledge of VMWare ESX (version 2.5 and 3.0), HP Blade architecture, SAN/NAS infrastructure and load balancing;
