Oracle DBA

An experienced Oracle DBA is required at one of the leading investment bank in Brussels.

EXCELLENT COMMUNICATION SKILLS IN FRENCH AND ENGLISH IS MANDATORY REQUIREMENT FOR THIS ROLE.

THE DBA WILL BE REQUIRED TO PERFORM THE FOLLOWING TASKS:

- Cooperate with the OS team (UNIX on Sun Solaris) for the installation and configuration of the RDBMS software;
- Create the databases: its objects (tables, indexes) and their underlying physical objects;
- Implement database maintenance scripts and follow up their execution (backup, reorganization, statistics,...);
- Be responsible for the security rules inside the database;
- Monitor periodically the system's resource usage and performance;
- Support development and maintenance teams with his proper knowledge;
- Write the DB related documentation;
- Actively participate to the migration project of Oracle 10G databases to Oracle 11G

REQUIRED SKILLS:

- Oracle DBA skills: system analysis, design, storage, security, backup, recovery, high availability, scalability, change management
- Sun Solaris 10, Oracle 10g, Oracle 11g, Migration of databases from 10G to 11G;
- Excellent communication skills in French and English.
- At least 5+ years of Oracle Database Administrator experience in a global enterprise environment
- A minimum of 3 years on Sun technology
