Oracle/DB2 Engineer/Administrator

Description:

Our customer is a large, international acting IT Provider (final customer is within financial branch) looking for an experienced Oracle & DB2 Z/OS DBA System Administration/Engineer for a new project in Zurich on IBM Optim.

DUTIES:

- Responsible for designing, evaluating, planning, developing, integrating, testing, deploying and supporting technical infrastructure solutions.
- These solutions leverage both the re-use of existing and new technologies while driving towards common global solutions.
- Responsible for working with production stakeholders to provide a stable and secure environment that ensures production stability, supportability and performance.
- The role supports with analysing errors and the definition and introduction of corrective measures.
- The role typically requires in-depth knowledge of current and emerging hardware, software, network technologies and software engineering principles.

SKILLS:

- At least 7 years of experience as System Engineer/Administrator/Senior Oracle & DB2 Engineer
- BE or B.Sc or MCA or M.Sc
- Very good knowledge of Oracle & DB2 Z/OS and software engineering principles
- Experience on Infosphere Optim would be an advantage
- Willing to provide 24x7 support and willing ot work in shifts
- Provide on-call support on a need basis during weekends and holidays
