DESCRIPTION:
The Oracle DB Programmer/Analyst roles and responsibilities include:
- Completes high quality, well-designed systems and processes that make appropriate use of technology
- Understands Investment Market and Reference Data and Data Management best practices.
- Responsible for design, development, maintenance and documentation of accounting and market data flows for scheduled and straight-through processing
- Understands existing business process requirements and makes recommendations for new technology adoption where appropriate
- Ensures that personally completed code entering production is sound and developed following standards
- Develops personal plans and milestones appropriate for completion of all work assignments.
- Updates and communicate project status to management and colleagues
Skills (Mandatory):
- Computer Science or Business degree or equivalent working experience
- 5 - 7 years experience in the Information Technology industry with a minimum of 1 year experience specifically architecting or programming a major RDBMS (Data Modeling, Oracle Programming, MVC, HTML, Stored Procedures)
- Good knowledge of information systems theories, concepts, methods, and techniques
- A sound knowledge of current computer programming methodologies and standards, process engineering approaches, and data management practices
- Experience with the full project life cycle from conception to implementation and support
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Must have good communication skills.
- Candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
