ORACLE DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR (LINUX)

On behalf of our client, a leading bank in Zürich, we are looking for a ORACLE DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR ON LINUX PLATFORMS. For this contract position based in Zurich in Switzerland our client is looking for an English speaking candidate who can start as soon as possible. ROLE:

- Oracle Database Administrator for the Database Integration team
- The team provides database integration solutions for IT projects
- Integration of database solutions for key projects
- Responsibility for Consulting activities, design of solutions and implementation of DB infrastructure solutions
- Handover solutions to 2nd Level Database Operations
- Support Releases and deliverables of Projects
- Development of DBA solutions and project advice
- Responsibility for Project DBA requests as part of a Database Integration team
- Part of the 2nd Level Oracle DBA Oncall team

SKILLS:

- 7 YEARS OF ORACLE DATABASE ADMINISTRATION EXPERIENCE ON LINUX PLATFORMS
- GOOD EXPERIENCE WITH DATABASE OPTIMIZATION AND TUNING
- STRONG BACKGROUND IN ORACLE 11G, 12C WOULD BE AN ADVANTAGE
- STRONG EXPERIENCE IN SUPPORTING ORACLE RAC AND DATAGUARD SETUP
- OPERATIONAL KNOW HOW IN WORKING MAINLY WITH ORACLE RELEASES 11G AND UTILITIES SUCH AS RMAN AND GRID CONTROL
- 3 years' experience in production support
- Ability to build and maintain customer relationship
- A background in the financial industry is a strong plus
- Very good communication skills
- Fluent written and spoken English, German as an additional asset
