Projektbeschreibung
POSITION GOALS:
The Oracle Security Engineer has the primary responsibility to engineer and secure the Oracle platform based on requirements for effective Cyber Security but also designs and architecture provided by Oracle Architects, customer requirements and Oracle best practices.
- Strong knowledge and experience with ORACLE DATABASE TECHNOLOGY with a special focus on SECURITY.
- Experienced with Tripwire or any other Scanning Tool.
- Experienced with Programming languages such as for example JAVA, Python to create automations and integrations.
SOFT SKILLS/PERSONAL:
- Strong ability to engineer, implement, DOCUMENT.
- Ability to manage, prioritize and solve analyze issues/problems, identify alternative solutions including consequences of proposed actions and implement recommendations quickly and completely.
- Very strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Team player. Not only be a team player within the team but also with other teams such as Information Security, Technology Architecture, Service Providers, Vendors.
MAIN TASKS OR ACTIVITIES:
- Engineer and implement security controls for the Oracle Database product based on Architecture specifications with a very high focus on end to end AUTOMATION.
- Interaction with Oracle architects, engineers, operational staff and internal security personnel gather requirements, issues, and tasks to provide and implement engineered security solutions accordingly.
- PROVIDE 3RD LEVEL TECHNICAL EXPERT SUPPORT for internal colleagues and external service providers.
- Optimize the existing environment by evaluating/developing/implementing new/additional security/products/concepts.
- Create technical documentation such as security concepts, specifications, guidelines, standard operation procedures (SOPs).
- Incorporate automation, optimization and efficiency gains in your daily work.O
- Review, clean-up, automate, optimize, simplify (from a user, engineering, operations point of view) end to end process starting with the internal Oracle Security Standard - IT Exceptions (approval/implementation/renewal/removal) - Verification Scanning - Remediation.
- Design, engineer, implement additional security controls and vulnerability checks for the Oracle platform
