Oracle Database Administrator (DBA)

Yoh has a contract opportunity for an ORACLE DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR (DBA) to join our client in Overland Park, KS.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Perform regular Oracle database instance-level as well as application-level tuning.
- Ensure contingency plans for each database system (backup, recovery and failover) are documented and tested.
- Design and document disaster recovery plan with consideration for key dependencies.
- Propose and develop strategic database improvements in technical areas of database implementation, support and enhancements.
- Act in a consulting capacity supporting application development teams during application design and implementation phases.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- MUST BE AVAILABLE FOR ON-CALL ROTATION, AS THIS POSITION PROVIDES SUPPORT 24X7X365.
- Five to eight (5-8) years related work experience.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience on RAC and Dataguard

PREFERRED JOB SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE:

- Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
