One of my clients is looking for a CERTIFIED ORACLE DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR or MS SQL CERTIFIED for a 12+ month project/contract. This is for an immediate start, so get in touch if you are available.

The CERTIFIED ORACLE DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR should have the following skills/experience:

- ITIL & ORACLE CERTIFIED DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR or MS SQL certification is required.
- Extensive experience in installing, configuring and tuning Oracle 8i, 9i, 10g,11.
- Experienced Oracle DBA, preferably with experience of configuring and tuning.
- Ability to perform PL/SQL coding including areas of functionality and performance.
- Experience of supporting various databases in a large environment or within a financial/investment environment.
- Experience with Oracle, Sybase IQ, MS SQL Server administration.
- Worked as a DBA in a large environment.
- Experience in proactive monitoring and troubleshooting of Database Systems.
- An understanding of incident management within IT infrastructure organization.
- A positive attitude, excellent customer-facing skills and a pleasant telephone manner.
- Must possess strong analytical skills as well as follow-up and organizational skills.
- Experience in Incident management, Release management, Change management, Problem management as per ITIL framework
- Flexibility to work on ROTA
