Oracle Database Administrator

Oracle Database Administrator wanted for our Zurich based client in the banking sector.

YOUR EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

- Degree in IT, computer science or related subject
- Background in database administration within the financial industry along with 7+ years of working experience in Oracle database administration on Linux platforms
- 3+ years of professional experience in production support as well as knowhow in working with Oracle Releases 11g and utilities such as RMAN and Grid Control
- Solid working experience in supporting Oracle RAC, Data guard setup, Oracle 11g, 12c plus very good DB optimization and tuning skills
- Languages: fluent English both written and spoken, German would be a big plus

YOUR TASKS:

- Supporting the team to provide database integration solutions for IT projects
- Merging database solutions for key projects in the bank along with consulting activities and design of solutions
- Implementing DB infrastructure solutions beside being responsible for the DBA requests
- Developing and delivering DBA solutions to 2nd Level DB operations as well as assisting releases and deliverables of projects
- Working directly with the 2nd level Oracle DBA on call team
