Oracle Database Administrator

Seeking a skilled Oracle Database Administrator to manage high-performance databases that support our Applications. This role will be responsible for the definition, tuning, scalability, availability and reliability of our data environments. The individual will work closely with other areas within the company such as Development and Operations. The individual must have strong technical skills, be proactive and resourceful and be able to communicate and collaborate effectively.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

-Install, configure, monitor and performance tune large database systems
- Work with development and operations teams to design database and tune production queries for optimal performance
-Implement and monitor replication for high availability and disaster recovery scenarios
-Review and optimize database schema changes
- Monitor and manage database indexes for optimal performance
- Automate the configuration management of database

Requirements:

-Solid understanding of infrastructure, application and database performance metrics
-Solid understanding of various infrastructure components: Servers, storage, and networking
- Solid SQL development experience
-Proficient in PL/SQL and trigger
-Some proficiency with Scripting languages and tools
-Experience working in physical, virtual, and 'cloud' environments
-Experience configuring and maintaining database monitoring/trending tools
-Experience in security and access control
-Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Sciences or related field (an equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience may be considered)
-Certifications in Oracle is plus
-Oracle Database administration, including: installation, initialization, authentication, catalog navigation, query tuning, system tuning, resource contention analysis, backup and recovery, standby, replication, etc.
-3+ years of Oracle database administration experience in a production environment with high availability.
-Experience in RAC and GoldenGate
-Experience in Oracle 12c
-Knowledge and experience with PostgreSQL is a plus
