eSynergy Solutions are currently hiring for a Oracle Data Warehouse Analyst for a 8 months project in Helsinki, Finland
Role: Oracle Data Warehouse (DW) Analyst
Location: Helsinki, Finland
Start: ASAP
Duration: 8 Months
Languages: English ONLY
The majority of the core systems in the project are implemented using Oracle products (Databases & ETL), therefore practical and proven experience in the design of Oracle solutions is necessary.
Specifically, the following skills are required:
- Hands on experience of designing, developing & implementing ETL processes using industry-standard ETL tools
- Building/tuning procedures with PL/SQL
- Practical knowledge and experience of Data Analysis and Data Profiling.
- Practical experience of Datamodelling (logical and physical)
- Experience of implementing solutions in Enterprise level Data Warehousing projects
Environments
The whole infrastructure will be deployed in three different environments
- DEV - Used for continuous integration
- UAT - For testing purposes, accessible only by ECHA internal users
- PROD - accessible by internal and external users
Tasks:
The main tasks of the Oracle Data Warehouse (DW) Analyst are:
- Physical data model design, development & implementation
- Data process flow design & development (ETL)
- Resolving complex technical issues for the team related to design, testing and performance
- Defining and implementing Data Capture processes from various sources and formats.
- Following business requirements and demonstrating strong understanding of the business needs as well as the source operational systems
- Provision of clear & concise technical documentation
- Supporting the installation, benchmarking and configuration of DW production environments, as well as migration from existing pre-production environment
Expected Outcome:
Outputs expected from the Oracle Data Warehouse (DW) Analyst are:
- Documented recommendations about the reference architecture for the data warehousing solutions, mapping it within the specific Oracle environment
- ETL infrastructure and architecture implemented, tested and performance tuned according to agreed specifications
- High quality contribution to the enterprise data model
- Standard operating procedures for data warehouse tuning, backup, restore, administration and monitoring.
- Clear and understandable documentation of the deliverable
- Data Warehouse DW Operations and Installation manuals
