Oracle Consultant RAC SME

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Take responsibility for Oracle Infrastructure and the changes required by the programme
Work with the agile team to contribute as the Database SME on a daily basis as required for planning and troubleshooting
Work with the agile team to contribute as the Database SME
on problems and incidents making decisions with the leadership team around troubleshooting
Oversee every aspect of release to live service technical changes impacting the DBMS required by the programme
Support infrastructure upgrades and other planned change impacting the DBMS to deliver the capacity plan and book of work
Oversee rollbacks of any change if unsuccessful
Work with availability and resilience teams to have backup and backout and dr plans for all daily ops and all new app migrations onto the farm Knowledge
and Skills - Accredited Oracle EXPERT - Extensive experience of cluster RAC and dataguard skills - RAC on (RH) Linux skills and experience preferred

REQUIREMENTS:

- Able to be effective in an agile team and command respect from peers on Day 1
- Been responsible for implementing multiple successful changes to complex
- large Oracle
- Can describe what large change has been successfully delivered under severe time pressure at evenings and weekends in past experience
- REQUIRED SKILLS: ORACLE RAC, VME LEGACY PLATFORMS
