Oracle BI Developer (Oracle, Business Intelligence, ETL, Data Warehouse)
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
The BI Oracle developer will focus on implementing efficient Oracle queries, tuning the ETL flow and tuning queries used by the reporting layer.
CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Develop efficient Oracle queries and procedures
- Develop ETL procedures, with strong focus on optimal Oracle performance
- Tune existing queries in ETL
- Tune existing queries for reporting
- Restructure current DB according to Oracle best practices
- Perform technical tests
- Support ICT on software installations and future migrations
ESSENTIAL QUALITIES:
- Minimum 5 years, desirable 10 years' experience with Oracle
- Very strong Oracle query building
- Very strong Oracle query tuning
- Extensive experience with relational data models
- Experience with Data Warehouses/Data Marts
- Attention to detail
- Proactive problem solving
DESIRABLE QUALITIES:
- Experience with ETL tools, preferably Pentaho Kettle
- Bachelor degree level or equivalent
- High quality interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Good presentational skills, English is the common work language
