Oracle BI/Datawarehouse Architect

We are looking for ORACLE BI/DATAWAREHOUSE ARCHITECT based in Geneva, Switzerland for one of our esteemed IT services client:

TITLE: ORACLE BI/DATAWAREHOUSE ARCHITECT
LOCATION: GENEVA, SWITZERLAND
TYPE: 3 MONTHS CONTRACT

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Reporting to the Project Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the design of Client Business Intelligence platform architecture, working closely with the Business Solutions architect and Business Process Management specialist.

MAIN DUTIES:
An excellent communicator, as input from key stakeholders is going to be essential, the key responsibilities will include:
Reviewing the current BI capabilities, tools and architecture
Review and define reporting architecture
Defining Data Dictionaries in accordance with Business and IT stakeholders
Developing a deep understanding of source applications, of the related business processes and of business information needs
Review the quality of data across key sources, identify key issues and develop strategies to address these
Supporting the Business Solutions Architect and Project Manager in articulating the overall direction for the BI stream of work
Assisting in the creation of statements of work for each architectural project and oversee project delivery
Facilitating project design reviews and sign off data dictionary enhancements
Providing regular status reports on the BI stream of work; reporting to stakeholders including communicating up-to-date project plans.
Overseeing activities for ensuring data quality and completeness in the Datawarehouse and supporting projects/work streams (eg Enterprise
Performance and Customer Relationship Management)
Own the BI application technology layer, liaise with the Technology team for keeping up to date all BI environments
Defining a Data Quality Management roadmap using existing data quality tools
Assisting the BI Application Support Team with production support issues as and when necessary.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION: University degree in IT, Business management or related disciplines

EXPERIENCE:
Strong demonstrable experience in Data Warehousing with specific experience obtained in a BI/DW Architecture role
Experience documenting and using tools to manage data lineage from source to presentation layer.
Strong experience working with Datamodelling tools, and Datamodelling best practices for DW
Working knowledge of a variety of Oracle enabling technologies related to BI, including Oracle Database 11g, OBIEE 11g, Oracle Data Integrator, Hyperion

SKILLS:
Mastery of Data Warehousing technologies and principles
Comfortable with not only advising on technical design, but driving a project from data definition with business customers, through to driving technical implementation integrating with the existing Datawarehouse environment.
Understanding of data elements from working across private and public sector organizations; experience in development of data dictionaries
Expert knowledge of Datamodelling tools
Able to assess design and lead improvement efforts for ETL and reporting solutions
Prior data integration experience into a common reporting model that extracts data from ERP and other operational systems.
Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
Excellent communication and facilitation skills with all levels of the Organization
Proven ability to coordinate and lead remote and/or external teams
Strong inter-personal skills
Externally recognised BI accreditations

ADDITIONAL HIGHLY DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
Oracle BI Apps (for PeopleSoft)
Oracle Scorecard And Strategy Management
Experience with reporting from PeopleSoft Financial and HR systems
Hyperion - Planning and Performance Management tools
ETL tool (ideally Informatica)
Datamodelling tools eg Erwin
French
