ORACLE APPS DBA

NEXT VENTURES ARE LOOKING FOR AN ORACLE APPS DBA TO JOIN OUR CLIENT IN SWITZERLAND FOR AN INTIAIL 6 MONTH CONTRACT.

THE CANDIDATE WILL BE REQUIRED TO;

ROLE:

GPP (Global Payment Program) develops and integrates a new distributed payments processing platform with Oracle RAC 11gr2 as primary data-Back End. We are looking for the role of an Application DBA to bring in distinct expertise to further optimize the interaction with our database clusters in development & operation.

SKILLS:

Structured and practical approach to database health & performance analysis

Good skills:

Any relevant database tools to analyze, tune and operate Oracle databases

Linux ( RedHat ) as underlying runtime platform: Understand the impact of the Oracle database processes onto the underlying OS and hardware (eg, CPU scheduling & consumption, IO & network usage)

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

Must have in-depth experience with the nature of our application: OLTP, high throughput, high concurrency, understand RAC specifics (application does load-balancing in RAC). This originates ideally from a combination of:

Designated experience as production DBA or production support for OLTP systems with Oracle RAC

Designated experience in working with application development projects providing consultancy in database-relevant design (throughput & other non-functional aspects)

Certified in either Oracle Database 11g Performance Tuning Certified Expert or Oracle Database 11g Administrator Certified Professional
