We have an job opening for ORACLE APPS DBA Consultant with our client and the details are as below:

Role: Oracle Apps DBA, Database Performance Tuning

Application DBA & Oracle tuning expert mainly to support Env Mgmt & Infra, Non Functional Testing

- Responsible to define, review and syndicate on DB configuration for an OLTP system (patch-level, general parameters) in test and production environments
- Review the output of production/test load profiles to propose, implement and verify necessary adjustments. Align such changes with TS.
- In order to more preventively improve the quality: Define and provide a set of standard quality checks, automated, to be run against every database, to
- collect relevant/interesting metrics
- identify problems
- support NFT/functional tests and taking care of any kind of performance issue
- Understand how to analyse the impact of an application onto a database
- Can judge if DB can cope with a load profile by the application
- Can give tuning recommendations to application
- Can give tuning recommendations for the database (system parameters, etc.)
- Must have experience with our nature of application: OLTP, high throughput, high concurrency, understand RAC specifics (application does load-balancing in RAC)
- Real-world production experience (understand the implications in a productive environment, necessary carefulness, pragmatism)
- Align with EMI on what is practicable, acceptable for PROD
