The Role

To be responsible for the Application Support and systems administration of the Oracle R12 E-business Suite, in order to ensure smooth operation of the system.

Perform the user maintenance of the financial system, ensuring it meets authorised user needs and addresses all requirements for those users including statutory and other external requirements.

Key Accountabilities

Strong Functional knowledge of Core Financial AP, AR, GL, CM, FA, OM, Web ADI, and i-Proc/Purchasing

Detailed end to end knowledge of the AP payments cycle in R12

Detailed knowledge of the Record to Receive process in AR R12

Detailed Knowledge of the Cash Management and reconciliation process

Detailed knowledge of Multi Org access control (MOAC).

Understanding of Role Based Access Control.

Detailed knowledge of R12 E-business Tax and key changes from 11.5.9/10 to R12

Detailed knowledge of R12 Subledger Accounting Process

Detailed knowledge of New Company set up, COA structures, GL Security.

Good working knowledge of Toad/SQL and be able to create/run database interrogation queries to provide issue resolution and reporting

To ensure the integrated ledger system is in balance at all times in order to maintain the integrity of all financial records, and to be responsible for all aspects of systems housekeeping, including:

- setting up and maintaining users on the system, with the appropriate levels of access and security
- setting up and maintaining accounts on the system, with the correct linkages
- completing all necessary month and year end roll over procedures eg trial balance
- completing system data refreshes

Advising the Head of Financial Systems Support of any issues of concern and in conjunction with the Oracle Application Specialists, identify and implement appropriate solutions.

Be able to communicate with clarity at all levels to a wide range of users

Skills & Experience

KNOWLEDGE:

Strong inter-personal skills, including the ability to communicate at all levels in a complex organisation and a commitment to provide a customer-orientated service.

The ability to work both as a member of a team and under own initiative.

A commitment to equality of opportunity and a willingness to maintain a positive attitude to health and safety in the workplace.

EXPERIENCE:

Proven experience analysing, configuring Oracle Financials application, preferably R12.

Knowledge and experience of accounting principles, accounting practice and financial business processes in a large organisation with a devolved approach to financial and accounting management.

Very strong business and systems analysis skills and a pro-active approach to problem-solving.

Experienced in the development and delivery of accounting system training to 'mixed ability' groups and individuals

Evidence of ability to plan, organise and prioritise own workload and of taking responsibility for meeting own learning and development needs
