OPTIMISATION
The Optimization job role purpose is to improve the overall service quality to ensure business consistency.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:
Planning & Design and Optimization of GRAN/WRAN/LTE RAN network & interface as per the coverage & capacity requirements, Radio Network Planning and Optimization for different access technologies and working closely with MSIP managers. This also requires multivendor exposure to different OEM products and planning and Optimization practices.
RF Link budgets designing
Neighbour planning
Co-ordination with other teams to get a trigger for design & planning the network after all optimization techniques have exhausted
Extensive use of the Planning tools to select site location, azimuth and tilt etc.
Interpreting the design criteria and running prediction based models using planning tools, working to a site nominal plan
Regular report production for a variety of planning related activities including project feasibility studies and justifications
To support the Project Managers' dealing with network rollout activities, for example complex upgrades, site moves and special events
To propose change in site design to meet customers requirement
Running calculations to interpret resource requirement for capacity congestion relief working to the 2% GOS Erlang B table
Channel Dimensioning, Future planning proposal to customer as per subscriber forecast
Maintaining planning tool projects in healthy & updated state
Bulk data loading on network databases to support RAN planning
LTE Nominal Planning for the sites taking operator requirement(QOS & Budget)
RF Network Design which includes Traffic Planning, Coverage Planning, PCI Planning, A Planning, Neighbour Planning and Interference Analysis
Support all customer's LTE planning & design requirements
Analyzing & troubleshooting different network related issues affecting RAN & End Customers
Solving the problems related to HO/TAU/Throughput etc.
KPI Monitoring & Analysis( Accessibility, Retainability, Throughput etc).
Managing team to align with customer deliverables
Day to day co-ordinating with customer to ensure smooth delivery.
To act as a technical advisor in Technical reviews & related stuff
Supervise and manage smalls team of engineers.
A comprehensive knowledge of hardware and software features and constraints for GRAN/WRAN
Ability to collect and analyse data from the GRAN/WRAN networks to resolve problems and make recommendations for improving QoS
Ability to analyse air interface signalling to help resolve problems and make recommendations for improving QoS
Ability to develop original processes and procedures
Ability to deliver innovative solutions to challenging problems
Drive recommendations for changes to the physical and parametric configuration of cells
Counter analysis and understanding
Good knowledge on GRAN/WRAN Radio parameters and timers
Working knowledge of MapInfo
Data throughput optimization for GRAN/WRAN.
Good knowledge in BSS parameters and GRAN/WRAN features
Parameter audit and report preparation
Analysis of drive test data and recommendation
Good exposure to Multivendor Product portfolio, Multivendor Features and Radio parameter related to Air Interface and Multivendor Optimization techniques and Tools.
Performance and root cause analysis of the air interface
GRAN/WRAN network environment and radio knowledge
Cell Optimization techniques
production of CSV files for creation of DT for new 3G sites
Exposure to tools like TEMS,ACTIX,BO etc.
Exposure to tools like Traffica, Metrica, NetAct, Enterprise.
Improve cells on following KPIs:
RRC attempts, RRC Failures, CS/PS RAB attempts, CS/PS RAB failures, DCR, CSTR, SHO attempts/failures, HS attempts, HS retain ability failure rate, HS accessibility failure rate.
