Projektbeschreibung

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

The Corporate Sustainability (CS) team is a key part of our business strategy and has a remit to transform our approach to corporate responsibility, using it to differentiate us and to position us as leading edge.

Within the CS team, there is an 'Innovations Unit', comprising c. seven people with a strong blend of client consulting and delivery experience, focused on 3 must-win battles. One of these battles is 'Sustainability Reporting excellence', which involves continuous, year on year enhancements to our sustainability reporting  both externally (where were expected to match the best practice advice we give to clients), and internally (to provide information to track and manage performance).

Over the past 4 years weve significantly enhanced our performance and reporting. Externally weve transformed our reporting formats, creating a website that is designed for specific audiences, provides comprehensive coverage of our sustainability, and added innovative functionality.

We introduced a new Annual Performance Update that sits alongside our Annual Report and Transparency report, and expanded our sustainability scorecard to include metrics covering aspects of our broad sustainability agenda such as quality, ethics, diversity, wellbeing, and people engagement. Weve worked to achieve external assurance for all our environmental, community and workplace data for 2007 (our baseline year), as well as our recent performance. And, in November 2013, we produced the first ever company level Total Impact report, monetising the economic, environmental and social impacts across our whole business, including our supply chain.

Were now rated 3rd equivalent in over 100 companies measured for their sustainability reporting by the Building Public Trust Sustainability Reporting Awards. In addition to our core sustainability report, we also submit data annually or bi-annually to other benchmarking organisations such as Business in the Communitys (BITC) CR Index and the Carbon Disclosure Projects (CDP) Supply Chain module, Ecovadis and others. Internally, we include two sustainability metrics in the Firm-wide Balanced Scorecard on a quarterly basis.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our Sustainability Reporting team oversees all internal and external measurement and reporting for sustainability in the firm, setting and shaping the agenda, driving change and overseeing implementation.

Each year our data and reporting scope has increased, and we envisage that this will also continue for the foreseeable future. Currently the data aggregation, conversion and verification are largely manual, and the Community Affairs, environmental and HC data reside on different databases/IT systems. So, we?'re now looking for a Sustainability Reporting and Business Intelligence Manager who can help us streamline and automate all our measurement and reporting processes.

Working with our internal PwC IT relationship manager and our outsourced IT development team, and on behalf of the Corporate Sustainability and Community Affairs team, the Sustainability Reporting and Business Intelligence Manager will shape, drive and oversee the implementation of a BI solution that will meet the sustainability reporting requirements, mindful of likely reporting requirements in future years.

Audit existing data and data requirements across all areas of our scorecard and define a new To Be Sustainability BI IT architecture, collaborating with our internal IT teams and relevant internal stakeholders, especially the Infrastructure and Property team who are current custodians of our environmental data

Define a data migration roadmap and phasing for the IT-enablement of each element of our sustainability reporting, mindful of interdependencies with other BI projects being implemented by the IT team and of the capacity of the CS/CA team whose workload has seasonal peaks and troughs (Note, priority will be given to the environmental data where there is an urgent need to migrate >10 years of existing data to a new application by end calendar year 2014)

Working with CS, relevant data owners and IT, evaluate the existing available BI solution to assess feasibility as a sustainability solution  Define functional requirements for the new sustainability BI solution, and mobilise/oversee the implementation of the application (design/build/implement), starting with the environmental data

Shape and execute all change management required for the new BI solution, once launched, including training on new processes and use of the BI solution for the community affairs team, Corporate Sustainability team, I&P, and other internal stakeholders Identify and manage all stakeholders and programme throughout, reporting to Measurement and Reporting Lead and Corporate Sustainability Director on a regular basis

Define and lead the Programme as a structured set of projects, to achieve the full To Be state. This is expected to be a c. 2-3 year timeframe, with further reporting requirements being shaped on an annual basis, so that the e-enablement becomes a rolling programme thereafter.

The CS function is part of Internal Firm Services. The central Sustainability Reporting team comprises a Measurement and Reporting Lead with deep experience in consulting and environmental performance, a Sustainability Analyst, and an expert in social impact measurement - overseen by the Director of Corporate Sustainability.

You'll report in to the Measurement & Reporting lead, working closely with the CS  Director and other CS team experts, including our Community Affairs team. And, You'll liaise with experts around the business responsible for Infrastructure and Property, Human Capital, Procurement for the provision of data, as well as Finance, IT and Internal Audit in the development of our intended new Business Intelligence solution and processes.
