Ops Risk Manager/Analyst - Banking - Financial Services - Operational

A leading retail bank is looking for a Operational Risk Manager with Financial Services/Banking experience.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE/ACCOUNTABILITIES

- The role will be based in Edinburgh or Manchester.
- Develop and deliver the W&G suite of Operational Risk Policies.
- Develop and deliver the W
- Event and Loss Data Management;
- Scenario Analysis;
- Risk Appetite;
- Key Risk Indicators;
- Findings and Action Plans

KEY ROLE DELIVERABLES

- The role will cover the following elements of the OR Framework
- Risk Assessments;
- Event and Loss Data Management;
- Scenario Analysis;
- Risk Appetite;
- Key Risk Indicators;
- Findings and Action Plans
- Assist in the development, delivering and embedding of assurance processes to support the first and second lines of defence.
- Ensure all policies reflect all current legal and regulatory requirements.

EXPERIENCE

- A proven track record of leading and delivering projects initiatives coupled with the ability to work to tight deadlines, you will be experienced in managing a number of conflicting and frequently changing priorities
- Knowledge of the financial services landscape and banking regulatory environment: in particular detailed knowledge of regulatory requirements for Operational Risk management and measurement in a three lines of defence model.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Previous experience of creating and communicating a suite of operational risk reports.
- Experience of managing relationships and communicating at Executive/Senior Management level you will have demonstrated strong leadership capabilities, and experience of assessing, mitigating and managing operational risks across a wide, diverse business/set of functions

OTHER SIGNIFICANT ROLE REQUIREMENTS

- Ideally educated to a degree level and/or holding a relevant risk management professional qualification.
- Expert knowledge of Operational Risk processes and their application within financial services.

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE

Knowledge and use of process Microsoft applications.
