Ops Engineer for Voice, Video and Chat

OPS ENGINEER FOR VOICE, VIDEO AND CHAT

For one of globally leading financial clients I am urgently looking for an Ops Engineer for a Voice, Video and Chat project to be based from my clients Amsterdam office.

THE SUCCESSFUL OPS ENGINEER WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

* Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery.
* Puppet, nolio, Ansible, windows, linux, Scripting bash/powershell,
* Being innovative and out-of-the box thinking
* Experienced in applying Cloud, virtualisation, Docker tools and techniques.
* Experience with chain monitoring and alerting with ELK stack
* 5+ years of experience in OPS-activities.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

As an OPS-engineer you take care of:
* Applications in our chain being available for our internal and external customers 7*24.
* The development (DTAP) train gets fully automated (80/90% is already in place).
* Coordinating and arranging installation, stability and monitoring of the environments.
* Advisory on and implementation of life cycle management activities.
* Setting standards for (automated) processes.
* Signalizing issues and structurally solve these issues/incidents.
* Being compliant to all the security and compliancy guidelines.

Our stack.
We use virtualized environments with Linux/RedHead and technologies like TC-server with JavaScript/Polymer/Angular JS combined with rest API (Java based on framework) and Oracle/MSSQL/Cassandra. For voice/video/chat we use Twilio (externally hosted). In our stack you will find lots of telephony and network related components.

Way of Work
We work in agile way having adapted a Tribe structure (like Spotify). We have 2-weeks sprint and we aim to put things to life in each sprint; therefore we use an advanced Continuous Delivery pipeline consisting of components likes Git, Sonar, Jenkins, Maven, Docker, Selenium combined with automated deployments using Nolio/Ansible.
