Operations Project Manager

Our client is the most recognized name in the software industry seeking an Operations PM with database administration and software development skills. Data management experience is a plus. This candidate will create technical documentation for existing security solutions and also help operate, support and enhance those solutions.

The PM responsibilities include developing technical documentation, operating, supporting and enhancing existing solutions (including SQL Server BI solutions, SharePoint/Infopath workflows and ASP.NET websites). We're looking for someone who is motivated, ready to get his/her hands dirty researching existing systems, and who learns quickly.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

- SQL Server (Administration, DB Schemas, Transact-SQL, SSIS, SSRS and SSAS)
- .NET (C#, Visual Basic), Web Services
- HTML, CSS and JavaScript (JQuery)
- SharePoint sites customization (lists, workflows)
- Windows Server Administration

TECHNICAL DOCUMENTATION DUTIES:

- Document existing systems (components, production environment, data feeds, routine maintenance tasks)
- Extract and store source code, ensuring it is same code it is running in production
- Document build process, production environment configuration and system accounts
- Develop disaster recovery plan
- Test documentation by recreating existing Servers in new virtual environment

OPERATION AND SUPPORT DUTIES:

- Ensure data accuracy and reliability
- Keep tools up and running
- Daily check of jobs and ETL process logs
- Take proactive steps to resolve any errors in the data or job streams
- Respond to escalation of user issues from Service Desk

TOOL ENHANCEMENT DUTIES:

- Change request requirements gathering
- Keep log of change requests and prioritization decisions
- Develop tools customization/enhancements
- Test (integration testing and UAT)
- Deploy to production

This contract position is expected to be 2-3 months in duration.
