Operations Project Manager

Our client is looking for a strong Operational Project Manager to provide management support for the completion of service improvements for one of their client contracts within the Broadcasting arena.

The core responsibilities of the project manager shall be to:

- Manage the project from start up (scope, project plans creation, deliverables, planning...) and define the means to reach project's goals (manpower, training, tools), including internal and external project resource and effort.
- Manage schedule, cost and budget (including forecasts) assigned to the project, including tracking of both cost (eg expenses) and budget (eg manpower) during the execution of the project.
- Deliver according to an agreed quality standard the different deliverables, and make sure that appropriate reviews, quality KPIs etc, are met according to initial planned quality expectations.
- Manage and track change requests according to existing processes in change control and configuration management.
- Gather and assess the impact of technical issues on project delivery.
- Anticipate, manage and resolve issues, act as a clearing house for problems, obstacles and opportunities confronting the project, including impediments faced by project team.
- Manage communication (meetings), prepare and issue regular project management reports (eg highlight reports, progress reports, exception reports, end stage reports) to appropriate audiences.
- Own all project administration and documentation, including plans.
- Co-ordinate, manage and motivate people in the project team; ensure clear and appropriate delegation of responsibilities and deliverables. Builds strong virtual teams required for each project.
- Accept deliverable and achieve project sign off.
- Ensures that formalised post-implementation reviews are executed, and lessons learnt are shared across the Broadcast Services business.

The project manager must have the following qualities:

- Demonstrable experience of managing broadcast operation projects, including asset workflows and distribution platforms.
- Ability to manage teams consisting of client and service supplier.
