OPERATIONS (OPS) ENGINEER

For one of my globally leading banking clients I am urgently looking for a experienced Operations (Ops) Engineer Profile for an initial 3 month contract in Amsterdam.

THE SUCCESSFUL OPERATIONS (OPS) ENGINEER WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

* You have at least five years Ops Engineer experience in a complex 7x24 IT environment
* You have experience in Linux platform and some Middleware and database components (like TomCat, WebSphere, MQ, EMS, Tibco, Oracle, etc)
* You have experience with some Scripting languages like Shell script, phyton or other high-level Scripting language.
* You have some basic understanding and want to learn/invest in Profile CoreBank used technologies (like Java, PSL, GTM, Mumps, Xpress) .
* You have experience with tooling such as Ansible, VS code, GIT, Nolio, Jenkins, Artifactory, Docker, Sonarqube, Fortify -Scripting Language (PSL), Mumps, Python, Java, Shell Script, SQL, C, GitLab, Sonarqube, Fortify, Nolio, Artifactory, Jenkins, and Docker.
* You enjoy automating and to come up with solutions in new technologies
* You have experience in coaching other Engineers
* You have experience in an Agile/Scrum/Dev/Ops Way of Working
* You are a team player and a true professional in everything you do

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Working as an Ops engineer within one of the DevOps Squads within CoreBank. As an OPS Engineer you will maintain the IT stack (including risk & security) and you will help to deliver business value across the entire end-to-end application chain together with your squad. You understand the total stack and contribute to all activities on your backlog: Together with your squad members you are able to move all stories and tasks from To Do to Done.

THE TECH STACK IN USE:
Our stack is based on a Linux/WebSphere/Tomcat/MQ/GTM/Oracle/stack. We mainly use the following technologies and frameworks: Profile Scripting Language (PSL), Mumps, Python, Java, Shell Script, SQL, C, GitLab, Sonarqube, Fortify, Nolio, Artifactory, Jenkins, and Docker.
