Allegis Group Services are the onsite recruitment partner at RBS and manage all contract and temporary opportunities for RBS M&IB (Markets and International Banking).

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

We have an outstanding contract opportunity for a Reporting and Analysis Analyst to make their mark with one of the world's largest international banking and financial services companies. In the role of Reporting and Analysis Analyst, you will play an integral role in helping our client deliver market leading services that set it apart from its competitors.

ADDITIONAL POSITION DETAILS:

- Timely and accurate creation of a variety of reports, including various dashboards for senior management, workstream slides for Project teams and other adhoc requests
- Source and prepare data from multiple sources, this includes understanding the data and creating definitions, obtaining regular sign off where relevant and putting in place RAG thresholds
- Work with the various functions/project areas/management in order to gather requirements, define appropriate metrics and work through to delivery of the final reporting output
- Involvement in new reporting initiatives (generation of ideas, development and implementation) and come up with recommendations for improvement of report production
- Responsible for automating reports in Access and Excel and continuous improvement
- Responsible for ensuring data is collated and held in an efficient manner which enables easy and accurate reporting in multiple formats (avoiding manual effort)
- Ensure any issues are escalated appropriately and with sufficient time to resolve
- Upkeep of procedures, checklists etc
- Provide an adhoc data analysis/provision service to management, responding to requests as appropriate. Add value by means of interpretation wherever possible

CANDIDATES SHOULD HAVE THE FOLLOWING:

- Previous MI and reporting experience ideally within investment banking
- Comfortable working under time pressure and changing priorities
- Excellent attention to detail
- MS Excel skills, must be comfortable working with and manipulating large complex spreadsheets
- Broad high level cross functional experience
- Knowledge of VBA, macros
- Intermediate MS Access skills
- Analytical and investigative skills - preferably demonstrated within a Risk, Finance or Operations environment
- Good communication and other interpersonal skills
- Problem solving ability, able to bring previous experience to help solve specific problems as well as improve processes and efficiency
