Our client is urgently searching for 1 strong Operations Manager with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Sourcing, SemiConductor experience to work on a critical project in Norway as a contractor.
A successful candidate will have strong skills in:
- Operations Management
- Supply Chain
- Manufacturing and Logistics
- Sourcing
- Background/experience from the semiconductor industry
- Production testing
- Develop and implement the supply chain, manufacturing strategy, operations
- Cost optimization
- Operational experience from supply chain, manufacturing and/or sourcing
- International experience working with global suppliers and customers
- Strong leadership experience
The role:
OPERATIONS MANAGER
The client is a semiconductor/sensor company supplying miniaturized radar sensors to a global high-volume cost-sensitive market. The candidate shall support the client in their supply chain, manufacturing and logistics, and is responsible for fulfillment and delivery of the clients products to our customers. The candidate must develop and ensure a supply chain for high volume manufacturing and production testing of semiconductor components and PCB modules. The candidate shall develop and implement the supply chain/manufacturing strategy, and ensure safe and efficient operations. The candidate shall continuously work on cost-optimization of company's products and manufacturing.
The main areas of responsibility within PCB/PCBA production are:
SOURCING
- Selections of suppliers and contract manufacturers
- Contract negotiations and ensure satisfying quality, pricing and delivery terms suppliers
- Build and maintain good relationships with suppliers. Perform regular business reviews
- Drive initiative for product cost optimization related to supply chain
MANUFACTURING AND PRODUCTION TESTING
- Production setup, production processes, tests and equipment and quality control
- Production planning and forecast based on sales forecast
- Material planning and purchase orders
- Responsible for support systems (eg ERP)
LOGISTICS
- Tax and customs
- Build and maintain the logistic operation/processes that scales with business needs (warehouse and distribution).
- Maintain and develop use of ERP system
- Sales operation (production forecast, order handling, delivery to customer)
QUALITY
- Maintain and further develop routines and processes to endure high quality standards across company operations
- Responsible for company's QA system
