Operations Manager (Manufacturing Systems)

OPERATIONS MANAGER (MANUFACTURING SYSTEMS) - SAP, IPDE IMPLEMENTATION.

A Operations Manager (Manufacturing Systems) with SAP, IPDE Implementation experience is required to work on a six month contract with the possibility of extension for our Defence client based in Cumbria.

This is a 6 month contract working for a UK leading defence company.

OVERVIEW OF THE OPERATIONS MANAGER (MANUFACTURING SYSTEMS) CONTRACT ROLE

This role Is for an Operations Manager with Manufacturing Execution Systems design and development experience. Along with a knowledge of IPDE Implementation for Operations and EDP requirements capture.

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THE OPERATIONS MANAGER (MANUFACTURING SYSTEMS)

- A degree or equivalent in an Engineering discipline is preferred
- MS Office packages Excel, Powerpoint, Word
- Proven experience dealing with continuous improvement, demonstrable knowledge of lean tools and techniques and strong analytical skills with a view to increasing Cost and Scheduling performance for appropriate contacts.
- Knowledge and application of manufacturing systems
- SAP knowledge - preferred but not essential
- Ability to present to stakeholders
- Ability to clearly articulate change and the benefits associated with changes/case for change
- Ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders both internally and externally
- Experience in Manufacturing Engineering/Process Improvement
- Experience in Manufacturing Systems operated in complex environments

The role is based in Barrow in Furness, Cumbria - commutable from Carnforth, Milnthorpe, Lancaster, Morecambe, Penrith, Workington, Whitehaven and The Lake District.
