Operations Manager

A great opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, proactive individual to work as an Operations Manager within the Nuclear Industry. Our client manages and operates the UK's primary facility for the permanent disposal of solid low level radioactive waste. They are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to Lead the Programme Operations Teams to meet safety, quality, production and cost targets
Your key responsibilities and accountabilities..

Comply with all legislative, regulatory and company policy standards and procedures, eg safety, quality, risk, security, etc. applicable to the role.
Achieve and maintain customer and stakeholder satisfaction.
Set stretching goals through formal and informal methods for team performance in the short and medium term.
Frequently interact with team members to coach, guide, and reinforce the required conduct of work

Minimum requirements are specified in the standards and expectations..

Ensure the work performed by contractors and subcontractors meets the conduct of work objectives defined for Decommissioning at LLWR.
Motivate and develop team to meet business results and appropriate standards.
Act as Chairman for the Programme Document Review Committee as required.
Support and welcome internal and external audit functions.
Implement business improvements in regulatory compliance, waste handling, removal, size reduction, and exemption processes and procedures, and safety standards.
Ensure that the work performed meets the Disciplined Operations objectives defined for the site.

Provide leadership to the Operations teams and meet the required leadership objectives defined for the site..

Investigate and act on any events and incidents arising from the programme of work.
Ensure Customer milestones Project milestones and operations are delivered.
Ensure all activities are carried out within the agreed sanction funds and annual budgets.
Deputise for the Programme Delivery Manager as required

The successful candidate will have a proven track record as a Superintending Officer. Possess a sound understanding of Document Review Committee Terms of Reference and structure along with Modern CDM knowledge and experience.
