Operations Intern

OPERATIONS INTERNSHIP

As the Operations Intern, you will have the opportunity to work in all areas of the Operations department as well as work on a project designed by the Manager of Service Excellence. The 12-week project, focusing on process improvement, will expose you to all facets of the organization from Operations to Client Services to Sales and Marketing. The Operations Intern will gain valuable experience and exposure utilizing six sigma and project management methodologies. This internship will include close on-the-job mentoring in an energetic and professional work environment. Upon the completion of the internship, you will present your projects to the Executive Team, Human Resources Team, and Mentors of all department interns.

In addition, you will work closely with the other department interns to design and implement a Universal Training program for Equity Trust Company's Continuing Education Program. The training will be presented to all of Equity Trust Company, ensuring that you and your team will impact the company's employees. Interns will then present their project during Equity Trust Company's Universal Training Week, providing you and your team mates a chance to develop presentation and teamwork skills and take on the role of a trainer.

The Internship Program Eligibility Requirements:

o       A junior or senior status student pursuing a Bachelor's Degree with a concentration in Business, Operations, Communications.

o       Minimum G.P.A. of 3.0.

o       PC skills including: MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Access.

o       Demonstrated leadership experience through work/school related activities.

Past Projects:

The projects you will be assigned will depend on the needs of the Service Excellence team and the company at that time, though it will be within the scope of the Operations function, giving you the chance to be directly involved with the Process Improvement process. Past projects for Operation Interns at Equity Trust Company include:

o       Employee Data Application Procedure Charter and Plan

o       Creating and implementing a Quick Start Guide for work processes in operation teams

o       Researching and creating a common language library between two organizations
