Operations Engineer

A leading Mobile Operator based in Amsterdam is looking for a freelance Support engineer to join their team.
As Senior Core Operations Engineer you will work on solving complex 3rd line network disruptions in
IP / MPLS core and optical transmission network. You will manage the network proactively and perform
network provisioning so that the service to internal and external customers is not compromised.
Furthermore, you will work on a project to renew continuously our network and will go on-call services
turn.
The department 3rd line
- You carry out the operational management of the core network;
- You support projects, expansions and upgrades;
- You implement network changes both inside and outside office hours;
- You perform provisioning activities of network and customer connections.

Profile
- Bachelor degree;
- At least three years experience in a similar function;
- CCNP level with extensive experience;
- Knowledge of Cisco (ASR), Juniper (MX), Nortel / Ciena, Lucent, Tellabs, preferably in an ISP environment;
- Extensive experience SDH and xWDM techniques;
- Independent, flexible, customizable and analytical thinking;
- Willing to work outside office hours and on-call services to run;
- Extensive experience (Perl) scripting;
