Operations Engineer

Our team is looking for an Operations Engineer to help maintain high quality of services which enable our ecosystem to build better products and increase customer satisfaction and loyalty through telemetric insights about their users, customers and business. You will work closely with our dev/test teams, and production/pre-production support engineers, to help insure that customer needs and requirements are driven into our services.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot services
- Detect, prioritize and resolve incidents
- Identify and document common recovery procedures for service impacting incidents
- Understand live support workflows to develop ongoing performance efficiencies and quality improvements

REQUIREMENTS

- 2-3 years of experience in a network, DBA or service operations support role
- Experience in SQL Server 2008 (or greater) required
- SQL Server installation, configuration, performance analysis, and maintenance
- Supporting SQL Server in a virtual environment
- Operational maintenance (ie identify and rebuild fragmented indexes, missing or out-of-date statistics)
- Ability to diagnose query performance using query plans
- Database design experience a plus
- Experience in web services and IIS 7 (or greater) preferred
- Experience in live services operations preferred
- Working experience with Active Directory, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Windows Server 2008/2012, Hyper-V, server clustering (MSCS), and SANs preferred
- Scripting capabilities and server imaging experiences to help automate customer deployments with cost, speed and accuracy as foremost priorities a big plus
