Operations Analyst (Contract)

An opportunity has arisen for a IT Operations Manager position with a highly-respected international law firm based in Tower Hill, London. The primary duties of the role consist of maintaining the firms IT infrastructure, ensuring availability and performance of systems, providing IT support throughout the business, ensuring firewalls, network switching, web filtering, anti-virus, remote access, client end-point security and the RSA SecurID Server are maintained. The following technical skills are required:* Strong networking skills (switching, routing, VLANs, PoE, WLAN)* Advanced knowledge of Windows 2003 / 2008 / 2008 r2 Server operating systems, core services and Active Directory management (including GPO, login scripts, roles, DFSR)* Strong analytical and problem solving ability.* Thorough understanding of security fundamentals, including firewalls (Checkpoint specifically), RSA SecurID Server, anti-virus, Juniper SA SSL appliances, and web filtering systems.* Experienced in Server Virtualisation technologies, NAS/SAN storage infrastructures (NetApp) and monitoring tools, particularly Solarwinds.* Experience with HP Pro Curves, Enterprise lead sites, and the Juniper suite, especially Juniper WXC, would be advantageous.This role is a 3-6 month contract, with the prospect of a permanent role at the end of the contract. The role pays between 300 to 350 per day depending on experience and skillset.
